Matthew 5:13 says “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.”
Inspired by this verse, Chapman University graduate Krista Hengesh began LiveSalted, a group for young women to discover the God- given calling. After a successful launch that was marked by a sold out conference in April of 2016, LiveSalted hosted A Salt Gathering this past Friday, October 7 at Friends Church in Orange, CA.
Like the launch conference, this gathering was sold out with each seat in the house filled with a girl who sat with courage and filled with courage. At the event, attendees had the chance to purchase new merchandise and all of the proceeds will go towards their expansion into the Pacific North West and beyond.
It was a night that brought a community together through worship and a short message. The focus of the night was to “Refocus our minds on Christ and to see where our identity, worth and value come from instead of looking to our left and right. Its time to live vertically.” The band City and Soul from Friends Church rocked the house with their music and it was clear that the Lord was present.
With hands lifted high, feet dancing all around and smiles pointed towards the sky the energy made for an incredible night. The girls present and the place it was held in made the night what it was. With their salt shakers lifted high, they were ready to flavor the earth with God’s love, glory and power.
